When unpainted and exposed to different atmospheric conditions, COR-TEN steel takes on a uniform and resistant patina, consisting of the oxides of its alloy elements, which hinder the progressive extension of corrosion. This patina, of a pleasing brown color, varies in tone depending on its age and external environment, and offers aesthetic solutions as well as constituting a valid protection against the aggression of atmospheric agents.
